The National Strategy for Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse is managed from within the Adult Care and Support Unit, which is part of the Health and Wellbeing Directorate of the Scottish Government.

The Scottish Government's Choose Life strategy was launched in December 2002 and forms a key part of the National Programme for Improving Mental Health and Wellbeing Action Plan in Scotland.
