Funding allocated in 2009/10
Following announcement of the Fund over 100 agencies submitted applications, and of these, twenty five applicants were successful and allocated funding for a two year period (2007-09).
In 2009 a further £900,000 was allocated to take forward the work of the National Strategy. As discussed at previous Reference Group meetings the priorities identified for future funding were:
- Male survivors
- Survivors living in rural areas
- Prevention of abuse and survivors in a prison setting
Organisations previously funded under SASDF, who were already providing
services in these priority areas, were invited to submit proposals for the further development of those services. Following evaluation in December 2010 the following organisations were awarded funding:

- Women’s Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre
- Thrive
- The People’s Advisory Service
- Western Isles Rape Crisis Centre

- One day module - SAMH, Victim Support Scotland, Health In Mind
The funding also included other areas of work on the National Strategy including the website, the Communications Strategy, development of a national training strategy and some further work from the two data collection projects in Aberdeen and Fife.

National Strategy Funding 2009/10
